There are two airports used for civil aviation in Istanbul. The first is Istanbul Airport (IST) on the European side, and the other is Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) on the Asian side. What if you need to get off at one of these two airports and go to the other for a transfer?..
Istanbul Airport is used as a hub by Turkish Airlines. Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport is a hub airport for AnadoluJet and Pegasus Airlines. Especially those who come from abroad and have to make domestic flights may have to transfer between two airports under certain conditions.
Fastest Transportation Between Two Airports
The fastest option is of course to take a taxi or rent a car. But that's not what we mean, of course. On the other hand, there are two options for taxi, considering the mileage. Firstly, you can go from the south line (Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge) and it costs at least $36 in taximeter. The other option is to take the northern line (Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge). On this route, which is slightly faster, the taximeter will write at least $40 on average. In the meantime, you have to pay twice the toll (arrival and return) of the bridge. $1 for FSM, and $2 for YSS. By taxi, you can provide the distance between two airports in an average of one hour.
Another fast option is bus shuttles by HAVAIST. The ticket price is 110 TL, which is less than $6. There are 17 trips per day for the bus shuttle, which takes an average of two hours. That means you'll have to wait less than two hours. You can buy your ticket with cash or credit card. I don't think you need to buy online, but this is another option.
Cheapest Transportation Between Two Airports
The cheapest option is possible by public transport; but there is no direct way. In addition, the time may be longer in the late hours. Therefore, you can consider this option after 4-5 in the morning, until 12 at night.
